Turkey Season

On my way to work (running on time but cutting it close to give a talk to visiting high school students), I saw this flock of turkeys by my building. It's still weird/unique to see the crazy-natural beasts around here. I think when you are from the city, it's easy to forget certain animals live in the wild anymore. Antelope, moose, turkeys, wolves. Are there wild cows anymore? Or chickens? They probably look very different than the beasts we were taught about in Pre-School, but not the elegant turkey. They look exactly as you remember them. Well, no. They look more graceful, but when they are trying to scare off other birds or flirt with girls, they look like turkeys. It's cool.
