Denver for the birds

This was an exhibit at the Denver Contemporary Art Museum. You could check out a bird, take him home, and release him, so he could fly back to the museum. I was so excited to participate, though the man I got the bird from said to wait a little later, because it was so hot. He also said to check for hawks before releasing him. The bird's name is MJ. By the time I got back to the trailer, MJ was freaking out, getting all bent up spinning around in his box. He was not interested in posing for pictures or being held. Just flying. I released him a half hour before the guy said to. He swooped low over the fence, then I heard dogs barking. Hopefully nothing. They were supposed to email me when he got there. Nothing so far (this update is 4 days later). Maybe MJ made a break for it.

UPDATE: I finally got an email. MJ made it home after all!
