Spring break part duet

I called two banks today to close my accounts. Two responses were, "you shouldn't close this until tomorrow." One, I understood. I had made a purchase that was still pending. The other? The monthly fee they've been charging me for FIVE years was due to charge tomorrow and if it went through while closing, it would cause my account to reopen, and there was nothing she could do about it.

Meanwhile, I've recently discovered check depositing via phone. All the $22 checks lying around from this overpayment or that refund... I can finally deposit just by taking a picture. Technology may be destroying our culture, but gosh I like that feature. And when I say these checks have been lying around, I mean in every room of the house. This feature made Every Room of my house a little tidier!
