NYC - part 1

Somehow, I found 4 hour parking on the water's edge in Hoboken, NJ. The NYC skyline looms across the channel in hazy afternoon sun. It's terrible light for pictures. But I have 4 hours to wait. Waiting for pictures isn't my strongest skill. I could be at the museum or combing the beach in Brooklyn. But instead, I'm sitting with the fishermen in Hoboken. We're waiting together, but they have friends and music and kids, the occasional tug at a pole (horrifyingly, the one I watched them reel in was the decapitated head of a fish only). It's sunny and cool, and there are scores of New Jerseyians jogging, walking, sitting, photographing, skating. Geese honk. The wind blows. Three hours and thirty seven minutes to go.
